The guy who wanted to give a donkey as a present to Obama

Honestly, if one of my international friends ask me about this curious guy,  I don’t know  what I’m going to say.  I just know that Silvio Carrasquilla is a young former mayor of Turbaco, a small town outside my beautiful city Cartagena. The thing is, motivated for his fanaticism to the United States president Barack Obama; Silvio wants to seize the opportunity in the Summit of the Americas to give to the president a donkey of 20 days old.

The poor donkey called “Demo” (due to Democracy), has been having a very long session of pictures in the streets just around the Summit, because Silvio is waiting for the opportunity to give his present; and of course the people and the media have been hanging around with this funny event.

Immediately, Facebook and its “citizens” started to make fun about the former Colombian mayor. Most of the critics are expressed by edited pictures, ridiculing the intentions of Silvio.

And Demo, poor Demo, who has to be so tired, looks like he won’t be with Obama due to Silvio can’t go to the Summit with animals.

I wonder how Obama would take this present to the United States.

Nevertheless Silvio has said that he will be the adoptive father of Demo, because Obama is already the owner.

I also wonder if Silvio is insane.

Silvio who has also built a house in his town, it’s called the “White House of the Caribbean” due to it is decorated with photographs and posters of Barack Obama and his family., and of course, the United States flag.
I wonder too how he could be the mayor of a town, showing this fanaticism the people who voted for him can't be normal.

I really feel shame of my country because everybody will think that we are living in a circus. The politicians have to keep a very respectful image, but in Colombia some go to the jail because of corruption and another ones give a donkey as a present.
I just hope he won’t be anymore the mayor of the town, because he doesn’t look ok in his brain.
